a. Account Information

When you sign in using Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We store this information in our database to identify your account and associate your generated portraits with your profile.

b. Uploaded Photos

When you upload a photo of your dog to generate a portrait, that image is temporarily stored on our secure cloud storage (Supabase Storage) for the sole purpose of processing your request. We do not use your uploaded photos for any purpose other than generating the portrait you requested.

c. Generated Images

AI-generated portraits created through our Service are stored in your account history so you can access and download them at any time.

d. Payment Information

We use Stripe to process payments. DogPhotoAI does not store your credit card number or payment details. Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with their own privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance standards.

e. Usage Information

We may automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Service, including:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Device type and browser information
  • Pages visited and time spent on the Service
  • Referral source (how you found our website)

f. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with our Service. This data is aggregated and anonymized. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Deliver the Service: Process your photo uploads and generate AI portraits
  • Manage your account: Authenticate you via Google OAuth and maintain your Credits balance
  • Process payments: Handle Credits purchases through Stripe securely
  • Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns to fix bugs and develop new features
  • Communicate with you: Send transactional emails (e.g., payment confirmations) when necessary
  • Ensure security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access

We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing emails. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

a. Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party providers to operate our Service:

  • Supabase — Database and cloud storage (authentication, user data, image storage)
  • Stripe — Payment processing
  • Google Analytics — Usage analytics
  • Volcengine / Doubao Seedream — AI image generation (photos are sent to the AI provider for processing)
  • Vercel — Frontend hosting
  • Railway — Backend API hosting

These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes of providing services to DogPhotoAI.

b. Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority.

c. Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of DogPhotoAI, your information may be transferred to the new entity. We will notify you before such a transfer and give you the option to delete your account.

4. Data Retention

  • Uploaded photos: Retained for processing and temporarily cached; not permanently retained beyond what is necessary to deliver the Service
  • Generated portraits: Stored in your account history until you delete them or close your account
  • Account data: Retained as long as your account is active; deleted upon account deletion request
  • Analytics data: Retained in aggregated, anonymized form

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Opt out of analytics tracking (see Google Analytics opt-out above)
  • Export your generated images at any time via download

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Secure database storage with row-level security (RLS) policies
  • OAuth 2.0 authentication (no passwords stored by DogPhotoAI)

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately at support@dogphotoai.com so we can delete it.
